'lately i've been hard to reach
i've been too long on my own
everyone has a private world
where they can be alone
are you calling out?
are you trying to get through?
are you reaching out for me?
'cause i'm reaching out for you!'

NAME: Yuralria Aiko Kunayak
NICKNAMES: Ria or Kuna
AGE: Twenty-Two
BIRTHDAY: febuary 23rd
ORIENTATION: heterosexual
GROUP: JOB/STUDYING:Waitress/Second Year Law Student
PLAY BY: erika toda
If I'm (home suite or honeymoon) in a glass room, my jealousy threw stones to it.
LIKES: cooking, early morning, tabby cats, husky dogs, feathers, snow geese, bird songs, calming tasks, light colors, smell of rain, house plants, hanging lamps, foot rests, reclining chairs, spiral light bulbs, gardening, butterflies, dark wood, grandfather clocks, friendly people, wicker baskets.
HATES: television, telephones, pure colored cats, Labrador dogs, wooden chairs, desk lamps, shag carpets, bees, dark colors, leopard prints, floppy dog ears, plain things, grills iodine, stressful things, moving ceiling fans, colored ceilings, ignorant people, supremacists, sex-craved people.
FEARS: death, needles, and doctors
GOALS: become a lawyer, get married, have one or two children
HABITS: speaking inuit, typing out words, clenching her muscles
LOOKS: Ria's eyes are a very dark brown, almost black. From far away, they might actually seem black, but once you get close up, you can see they're flecked with light and dark brown, though mostly dark. They are very almond shaped, showing both her Japanese and Inuit heritage.
Her face his very round, giving off that eskimo appearance that an american would expect her to have. Her skin is an olive color, free of freckles and blemishes. Her face structure is very delicate, like her mothers face is.
Ria's hair is a blue-black color. In some light it has a blueish sheen to it, but it's actually just a very silky black. She generally wears it down, her bangs slightly sideswept. It comes down to the bottom of her shoulder blades, allowing plenty of room to mess around with it, if need be.
She stands at a short 5'4", and weighs only about 110 to 115. She has a small hour glass figure, though it's only barely noticeable. She doesn't seem like she has that much muscle to her, but the truth is that she could lift something at least 60 pounds or more, if she had to. She's small but she can do big things.
Ria's usual clothing consists of whatever is in style, but generally the generic brand. She doesn't have the money to pay for name brand clothing on a waitresses salary. She usually wears darker colors, because light colors don't look all that great on her. She doesn't tend to wear yellows either, because it washes her out for some reason. She can be seen in anything from a dress to some jeans and a t-shirt. Her level of girliness depends on how she feels.
Ria has a birthmark in no particular shape on her hip, but that's it as far as markings go. Her ears are pierced, but that's the only kind of piercing she has, and she's not sure if the hole is still open or not.
OVERALL PERSONALITY: Ria is an extremely loyal person. She's said to be like a dog most of the time. As long as you're loyal to her, she won't bite your hand, and yes, this is just a saying. She won't really bite your hand. Ria is also extremely impulsive. She tends to decide right away, because she doesn't want stress to build up because she's thinking about something. Due to her acute anxiety problems, she wants to prevent as much stress as she possibly can.
Ria is also what you would call naive. She'll pretty much believe anything you tell her. This also goes along with her impulsiveness, because she's trying to avoid being stressful. If what you say makes at least a little sense, you can believe that Ria will believe you. This causes her to be prey for people here in NYC. She's also very worrisome. Be it that this is just a point in her personality, or caused by her anxiety problem, she'll tend to continually worry about things that she shouldn't worry about. Things like bills, work, and other things that people use the saying 'cross that bridge when they come to it'. She's never been able to go along with it.
Ria is also very devoted. Once she decides she's going to do something for herself, or for another person, she preservers, and pushes through anything that might seem like a problem. She's not going to stop just because you think it's a bad idea. Lastly, Ria tends to be clueless. Chances are, if you genuinely like her, she won't know unless you tell her directly. Even if you send her flowers with Love, ____ on the card, she won't get it. It also goes by the fact that she's naive.

NATIONALITY: Half Inuit, Half Japanese
BIRTHPLACE/HOMETOWN: Nunayak, Canada
MOTHER: Aiko, 34, House Wife
FATHER: Yup'ik
SIBLINGS: NONE
PETS: Setuk, 1 Year, Fish
OVERALL HISTORY: During a expedition, Ria's mother and father met, and fell in love. However, it was a quick marriage, and they only stayed together until Ria was about a year old. They agreed that Ria's father would be the best person to raise poor Ria, because her mother already had an arranged marriage to a man who already had two young children. Ria should stay with her father, and that was that.
Ria was raised just like any other Inuit girl. She knew the language and knew the culture. However, when Ria was about sixteen years old, her father decided that America would be best for them, and they moved to North Dakota. It was a long process, but finally Ria was enrolled in a High School there, learning things that just piled stress upon stress on her. However, she tried hard for her father, to show him that she was okay.
When she was eighteen years old, she left her father and traveled to New York City where she decided to settle down. After about a year, Ria found herself rather lonely. People would stare at her because she had a hard time lacing words together, or pronouncing longer words. She decided to get a dog. A husky named Anui. He's been apart of her life for two years.
Ria was forced to trade in her dog for a fish, and she moved to Australia to go to the university there, as she got accepted and it had a good law program. She's lived in Australia for a while year now, and has six more years to go before she can think about where she wants to take the bar exam.

RP SAMPLE:"Coffee." she muttered. She still had a hard time lacing together words, so she stuck with as little words as she could use. Her hair was pulled back, but she continued to look at the floor, to hide her face from everyone. They always stared at her. Not because she was asian. There were plenty of people who were asian. She was half inuit, and sometimes, she couldn't help but say things in the inuit language. They got a kick out of it. They weren't trying to make fun of her, they actually found it interesting. But she was embarrassed by it, and they didn't understand that. It was fine though. She would just continue on her way.
Her name was Yuralria. However, everyone just called her Ria. That's what was on her name tag, because they said it was just an odd name. Ria was much, much easier to remember. She agreed, but once in a while, she whished, even in anger, that her full name was said, just like when she lived in Northern Canada. It was sad, almost, how she missed hearing that name. She used to hate it so much, but now it was different. It was the only thing she had with Inuit decent. Except for Yup'ik, of course. Her friend had sent her the puppy, and now he was two years old, a beautiful silver dog, full of charm and charisma.
"-order. Hello?" a voice said. Ria's eyes widened and a blush spread across her face. She realized that the woman she had given the coffee to was trying to talk to her. There was something wrong with her coffee. It seemed to be the wrong order. Ria had given the wrong coffee to the wrong table. "My order is wrong. Miss.... Ria. Could you take this back for me? Don't worry, everyone makes mistakes sometimes." she said, handing the cup of coffee toward Ria.
"Of course.... ma'am." she said, forcing a smile on her face. She grabbed the coffee cup from her, turning on her heel and back toward the kitchen. "Order is wrong." she said, loud enough for the hustle and bustle of the kitchen to hear her. They switched the order once more, the coffee guy, as she called him, looked a bit tired and annoyed. "Sorry." she muttered, before quickly walking out of the kitchen. Oh, the life of the common waitress. She just had a small twist.
